Saturday with Cayce and Nikki

Today was a long busy day! We met up around noon and decided to go explore. As we were walking into the center of town there was this guy wearing this crazy outfit (picture below) and it made it look like 2 people were dancing with each other but it was actually only one person. haha kind of weird but funny.

We started off at the cathedral of Spain. I was excited to go again because it is such a large pretty building and I love seeing the city from the top of the Giralda. We spent a hour of so inside and they both really liked it.

Afterwords we were all hungry so we headed back near there hostel and they bought some food to make lunch. We ate at the hostel and hung out for a while then decided to go walk around a bit more. We came across this 'christmas event' in a plaza with a bunch of stands that had figurines and stuff for nativity scenes. Some of them were really intricate but really expensive. We walked around the center for a bit and then we decided to go to the river and hang out for a while.

Once it got dark we made our way back to their hostel so they could eat and get ready for the night. Passing through the center we heard a lot of noise and saw a huge crowd huddled in a tiny street. As we approached we noticed a band was set up and playing. Electric guitars, drums, amps - everything, right in the tiny crowded street. We finally pushed our way through and made it back to the hostel. We decided to meet up again later and go out with some friends.

We ended up meeting around the cathedral and headed to a bar for a bit. After we went with a good size group of people to a going away party on the other side of town near my place. It was a big mix of people. There were people from France, Belgium, Spain, America, Mexico and probably a few other places. We hung out there for an hour or so and then headed out to a bar. I had a bad feeling that we wouldn't get in because it was Saturday night and super busy. You usually need to be on the 'list' to get in on these nights - how do you get your name on that list? - I have no idea. At this point it was pushing on 4 am so we decided to call it a night and meet again in the morning.

It was a loong eventful day. I just woke up (sunday) around noon. We are planning on going to the parque de maria luisa and the plaza de espana today. should be a lot of fun.
