Long Relaxing Weekend

Friday I didn't really have much to do. I'm sad to say that my iPhone is not working correctly, so I had to mail it to my parents so they can send it into Apple to be fixed. There is no damage and I didn't drop it. The camera just stopped working. Every time I try to open the camera up it stays on the image right after you take a picture; the image of the shutter being closed and it won't open back up.

The switch on the bottom right hand corner to change it from camera to video camera will not move either. But if I switch the camera from portrait to landscape to take a photo, the image of the camera still orients itself to the correct direction. I tried everything; turning it off then on again, hard reset, restoring, and finally even resetting to factory settings. No luck. I had to call apple support from Skype and that was such a pain. The first lady was so rude. Finally I spoke with a guy who actually knew what he was doing and he seemed to make it sound like this was a problem that some users were having.

The only thing that sucks is I had to mail it in so they can either fix it or send me a knew one. I am now "iPhoneless" for a while. The earliest I will get it back is when my parents come to visit at the end of November. This is the longest I have been with out an iPhone in years, and without and iPod for music since like highschool. It's kind of disturbing! I mean the usage of it has decreases dramatically since I have been here because most of the programs require WIFI to use. But it was still nice to have music and also the video camera and camera when I didn't want to take my bulky camera around.

So I mailed that off to my parents and then came back to the place and relaxed for a while. I ended up going to bar near the center of town with Matt and Andy. It was nice because you buy a pint of beer and you got a tapa for free. For those who don't know a tapa is a small snack that many bars will give you free or offer for very cheap when you order a drink. When I studied in Granada basically anywhere you went you would get free tapas. Here it is not like that. Normally you pay. This bar however had over 100 tapas to choose from.
This is what you would get if you ordered two beers. You get to pick what you want, and it is usually served with chips and a little baguette of bread with something inside (meat, cheeses, tortilla de espana, etc)

We made plans to go to Cadiz for the day today. I ended up changing my mind however because I woke up late and was really tired. Also a teacher from work invited me to a festival in Dos Hermanas tomorrow called "Romeria de Valme" The holiday is celebrated in Dos Hermanas only and it's a religious celebration in honor of the Virgen de Valme. It is celebrated the 3rd sunday of October. There is a parade with floats and then afterwords she invited me and my 2 friends to have paella with a group of her friends. I am really excited, it should be a lot of fun. For this reason I didn't want to go to Cadiz, because we would have literally been there for only a few hours before it got dark, and I didn't want to pay for a hostel and then have to wake up really early to come back and meet up with my coworker.

Here is a picture I found on the internet from a previous years parade

I slept in till about One o'clock today. haha. I am going to clean my place up a little bit and then go walk around the city for a while and find a nice place to read.
